Making Powder Orders Simple

Powder Dosing Tips:

  1. First, decide how many days of formulas you want to give, a week? 2 weeks? We suggest you add 2-3 days, so in future, if you want to refill or change the formula, the patient will have enough herbs to cover the filling and delivery time.
  2. 3 scoops 3x day is considered equivalent to standard raw formula dosing. 4 scoops 3x day is a medium high dose. 5 scoops 3x day is a high dose.
  3. For best patient compliance, choose a 2x day dose, like 4 or 5 scoops 2x day

Quickly Inputting the
Herbs and Grams

  1. Use both the TAB button and the mouse.
  2. From dosage area, tab over to the first herb box and type first letter of herb. Or, if it is near the end of the letter (e.g. huang lian is near the end of the H's), choose the next letter and go backwards. Not every letter has herbs, so you may have to try the next one (e.g. there are not 'I' herbs, so with huang, you have to type 'J' and go backward).
  3. Select with the mouse or use the up and down arrow keys.
  4. Tab to the # of grams space, type in number (remember to use the standard raw dosage for the formula, aka from Bensky)
  5. Tab over to the next herb, repeat.
  6. If you ever go too far, holding down the SHIFT key while pressing TAB will take you backwards one box.
  7. When finished, use mouse to scroll down page and click Grand Total, write total cost onto Patient Info Card.
  8. Recheck form, and then click ORDER.

Getting the Cost for your Patient

  • To check formula cost before ordering, complete steps 1-7.
  • To reduce cost: Lower the dosage per day, or decrease the number of days.

In a hurry? You can place your orders at home after your shift. Just be sure to notify your patient of the price and payment requirements so that they'll pay (or their formula won't get filled!).
